Alice in Wonderland was adaptation film from an English Novel “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” by Lewis Caroll. It is all about the girl named “Alice” that falls to the hole and enter the fantasy world with full of magic and talking animals. It is like a multiverse where objects can talk and act like a human.

This movie was Directed by Tim Burton and Alice as the main character was portrayed by Mia Wasikowska. Including wonderful casts Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Crispin Glover, Michael Sheen, Paul Whitehouse, Helena Bonham Carter, Matt Lucas, and many more.

Alice Kingsley was a 19 year old girl live from London. She and her mother attended her enngagement party, the theme is in the garden. She was convinced to marry a wealthy man but Alice refuses. Alice saw a rabbit and she followed it. The rabbit stop at the tree and jump through the hole. Alice just want to take a peek what’s inside the hole, but suddenly, she lose balance and fell inside.

She screamed at confusion when she saw how many heavy objects keeps afloat. Alice was fell into the ground, the first thing she do is trying to open the doors. When she cannot open the doors she saw a key and a potion at the top of table. She fetch the key and tried to unlock the doors but still, it couldn’t open. When her eyes gaze behind the curtains, she saw a small door that can only fit the key. Alice saw a potion at the top of table, it has written words that state “Drink me.” Alice drink a few but she chokes, in just seconds she became tiny as thumbelina. By unexpected chance she cannot reached the key, the table was too tall for her. She found a cake that it has written words too, “Eat me. ” When she took a bite Alice became a huge giant. She immediately grab the key and drink the potion again, so that she can fit into the door.

Main Characters

White Queen – She is kind, gorgeous and dedicated queen. She will do anything for the sake of Wonderland

The Knight – He’s a protagonist. He commands what the Red Queen wants.

Red Queen – A selfish, greedy and feeling powerful Queen.

Hatter – He is funny and goofy person. You’ll laugh because of his personality. He’s a friend of Alice and he has a golden heart too.

Alice – A brave, smart, and wise girl who slayed the jobberwocky.

Event Details

When Hatter heard the horses and soldiers of the Knight or the Knave of Hearts which is an ally of Red Queen, he picks up Alice and run away until they found a river. The knight wants to kill Alice because the red queen ordered to do it so. Hatter grab his hat and put the small size of Alice on it she told her to hold on and find the white queen. He throws his hat accross the river. Alice saw how the soldiers took Hatter with them. On the next day, Hamar the dog who’s just pretending to be on Red queen’s team told Alice that he knows where is the place of Red Queen’s Castle. Alice trusted him and Hamar give her a ride going to Red Queen’s Castle.

Hatter told Alice that she needs to give back the Queen’s sword. But the problem is the sword is in the cage of Bulldog-bear, it has fangs and can attack you anytime. Alice has an smart idea. She remembered Mallymkun The Dormouse stabbed the Bulldog-bear’s eyes and the eye ball is with her all along. Alice took the Bulldog-bear’s eye and she entered the cage. At first the bulldog-bear wants to attack her. But Alice said “I have your eye” and she gave it to him. The Bulldog-bear calms down and let Alice in. She found where the sword was but it has locked and she don’t know where the key is. Alice fell asleep inside the cage when she woke up the Bulldog-bear shows his necklace to her, which is the key of sword. The Bulldog-bear licked Alice’s wound and Alice pet him.

She ate the cake at the rabbit’s residence that can help her grow. However, in the film, she ate the cake from the top of a table.Alice awakens from her dream with the cards becoming into leaves over her head and her sister by her side. She played a 19-year-old girl who was forced to marry a man she didn’t like in the film. Her goal in Wonderland is to assassinate the Jobberwocky, a huge dragon. These movie and book events are deserved a loud of applause. Both has unbelievable creatures, magical storyline, and it has a lesson.

Alice in Wonderland

Even you’re just young don’t let old folks control you. You have your own decision and they should respect it. Just like Alice, she was forced to get married. Don’t let anyone forced you to the things you didn’t like. I love the ending of the movie where Alice told her mom, “Don’t worry mother I’ll find something useful to do. ” it shows not because you’re a young person you couldn’t do something useful. You are still learning and Alice in Wonderland theme is “growing.” As the time passed we are growing, even we have mistakes as a young person, it still gives us a new knowledge. We should be just like Alice. Brave, Kind, Wise, and an eye opener for young people.
